How to Join Our Caring Community of Volunteers

Our mission wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our compassionate community volunteers. Every day, these dedicated individuals deliver more than meals—they bring moments of connection, care, and reassurance to our senior clients.

We’re always looking for volunteer drivers to join our team and help make a difference. Using their own vehicles, our volunteers deliver 8 to 10 meals per route. New volunteers receive a detailed handbook to guide them through various situations and are paired with an experienced volunteer for training before heading out on their own. If you’re unable to commit to a regular schedule, we’re always in need of substitute drivers to step in when permanent drivers are unavailable.

Meal deliveries go beyond providing nutritious food—they offer a chance for social interaction that can brighten a senior’s day. For some, this might be their only face-to-face connection with someone all day. Volunteers also play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients by reporting any concerns or changes they notice.

Our team is here to support you every step of the way. If you have questions or encounter a concern while on your route, please don’t hesitate to contact our office. For emergencies, call 911 or the Meals on Wheels office at 307-265-8659. Remember, your safety is just as important—never attempt to move someone who has fallen or is injured.
